There are certain occasions you just want to remember forever, and senior year tends to be one of them. That’s what makes senior portraits so popular, after all. Sometimes, getting the right feel in a portrait session can be easier said than done, though. How do you capture such an important milestone on camera? From a professional photographer’s point of view, you focus on helping bring out the excitement of this time in their life. There is no better example of that than through one of Juays Photography’s 2021 Senior Models, Macy, a 2021 senior from ARP High School!
Macy is an accomplished young woman who will be graduating from ARP High School in 2021, preparing to start the next chapter of her life, wherever it brings her. This accomplished young woman is a member of the yearbook committee as well as the Honor Society. She’s also spent her time participating as a twirler, in the school band, and in Azalea Belle.
We were fortunate enough to have her pose as one of our 2021 senior models and we are absolutely in love with the images from her session. A natural in front of the camera, Macy was gracious enough to join our senior model program even though she lives over an hour away. We happily took her out and around in Jefferson, TX to capture some memorable shots. She enjoyed herself immensely and told us that she felt like a model in a magazine. Macy came alive in her shots and we are incredibly happy with the images we were able to capture.
A senior’s shoot has the normal challenges of weather, lighting, and posing. It is vital, however, to look beyond these and understand what each graduating senior wants to get out of their shoot; the ability to fondly look back and see a glimpse of life as a senior portrayed in pictures. At Juays Photography, we always focus on working from her needs, outward. Our goal is to create a photoshoot where she can relax and be herself, allowing us the true pleasure of capturing that in just the right photo.
As this was an on-location shoot we focused on bringing Macy into different sites around Jefferson that felt more comfortable and we were able to bring out her personality. We worked with her to help find poses that were natural, fun, and helped her feel like herself in front of the lens. The important details are what allowed us to have such a successful photoshoot with Macy and for her photos to turn out as stunning as they did.
Senior year is one of those special milestones in a teen’s life that marks their last point as a child and their first point as an adult. Capturing that transition is incredibly important and special to all families and seniors. Graduation is a big deal for seniors, and their families. Our specialty is to help each of our seniors accomplish the goal of having celebratory shots that they’ll cherish forever, simply because they can look back and see themselves in perfect focus and remember how much fun this special time was.
We had a wonderful time in our fun and laughter-filled photoshoot with Macy and on behalf of all of us at Juays Photography, we wish her nothing but the best for her exciting future that is just waiting for her to reach out and grab it! Congratulations, Macy!
